When the community picks on pure gut, no thinking, Destiny 2 only edges out about a third of all games. That's low for a title this big. But look closer and the picture shifts. On the controller feel, it sits ahead of more than 80% of games, exactly what you expect from a Bungie shooter. Pure fun follows close, ahead of 80% too, and the soundtrack slips past three quarters of the field. Careful though, all of this rests on very few votes, a single duel per criterion, so the early signals suggest a game that delights in the hands but still struggles to win the instinctive pick. Rediscovery lingers in the lower middle.

In the world of long-haul multiplayer shooters, that's a coherent profile. You come back for the gunplay and the loop, less for deep attachment or a memory you dream of reliving fresh.

So who's it for? For you if you love a punchy gunplay loop, loot to chase, and sessions that stretch on without you noticing. A lot less if you're after the game that grabs your heart from the very first time you hold the pad.
