Here, when the community picks on gut feel, no thinking, Rebirth already lands ahead of 86% of games. That's high, and the detail confirms almost everything. Attachment explodes: ahead of 98% of titles, right at the top. The feel in hand follows, ahead of 97% of games. The wish to rediscover it for the first time, ahead of 94%. The art style and soundtrack, ahead of nine games out of ten. The only slight dip is the can't-put-it-down session fun, more modest, in the better half but no more. No tension tearing the profile apart here, just a rare consistency. Several of these lines rest on few votes, to be confirmed, but this recent title is living up to the promise.

Against today's great RPGs, this is exactly what you expect from a game built to make you love its heroes. Everything points to the bond.

So, who's it for? You, if you want to grow attached to characters, an adventure that carries you, a world you leave with regret. Much less if you're after the quick arcade session you fire up between two errands.
