The wish to rediscover it for the first time finishes almost at the top, ahead of 99% of titles, and art style, fun, and attachment follow, all very high. Where it snags is on controller feel, at the very bottom of the ranking, and its soundtrack, quieter. The picture is clear: people love it for its writing, its tenderness, and its faithfulness to the original, far more than for its gameplay feel.

Next to other indie games, it is a rare tribute, reaching a quality few fan projects come close to.

So, who is it for? For you if you loved Undertale and want to dive back into its world. Much less if you never touched the original or if you judge first on gameplay.
