Rediscovery leads, ahead of 95% of titles, which fits a game that is itself a rediscovery. The soundtrack follows, ahead of 80%. Attachment holds ahead of three quarters of games, on very few votes, so treat it as unconfirmed. The rest settles in the upper middle: controller feel ahead of roughly 64%, art direction ahead of 62%, fun slightly above average, desert island right in the middle. Nothing collapses, nothing explodes either, apart from that longing to live it again for the first time.

Against modern survival horror, this remake does not chase action escalation. It slows down, it weighs on you, and it commits to psychological unease rather than a shooting ballet.

So, who is it for? For you if you like horror that leaves you uncomfortable rather than horror that makes you jump, towns that warp, stories about grief. Much less so if you want immediate fun, or a game you would take with you everywhere.
