Mass Effect 3 carries the weight of an entire trilogy, and the community gives it credit where it counts.

Narrative ranks ahead of 98% of games, emotional connection ahead of 97%, sound design ahead of 97%, and rediscoverability at 95%. It's a profile dominated by attachment and emotion, which makes sense for a saga conclusion. Immediate fun lands at 96%, which is high. Where the game is more modest is addictiveness (84%) and especially the social experience, sitting low at 20%. This is clearly a solitary, personal experience.

For a sci-fi RPG, these scores on narrative and emotional connection place it among the best in the genre. Trilogy finales rarely manage to deliver on that promise. Here, the community says it does.

If you've played the previous entries or you're looking for an RPG with a strong story and characters you genuinely care about, this is an excellent choice. If you want something to share with others or a lighter experience, this isn't the right fit.
