A sandbox with an RPG twist, endlessly generated dungeons, and years of waiting finally paid off.

Controller feel and the soundtrack climb very high, ahead of more than nine games out of ten: once it is in your hands, Hytale delivers on its promise of handling. On the other hand, several areas fall back. The wish to rediscover it finishes at the very bottom of the ranking, and the art style stays low too, while attachment and fun hover around average. The likely reading: a solid sandbox, pleasant to play, but whose cubic aesthetic and replay value divide, in the shadow of the giant it aims to dethrone.

Next to other sandboxes, it presents itself as a more ambitious Minecraft, blending free building with a real role playing adventure.
