Here is a result that clashes with its huge success. On nearly every criterion, Genshin Impact finishes at the very bottom of the ranking: attachment, the wish to rediscover it, art style, and soundtrack drag in the depths, and fun is hardly better. Hard to ignore, even if caution is warranted on a still small sample: the community seems cool toward the game, perhaps tired of its free to play gacha model or its repetitiveness, where its global audience adores it. A real paradox.

Next to other open world role playing games, it popularized the gacha model on a massive scale, for better on the success side and, here, for worse on the feeling side.

So, who is it for? For you if you like exploration, elemental systems, and collecting characters. Much less if the gacha model or the sense of filler puts you off.
