Night City pulls you in before you have even learned the rules.

And yet, first surprise: when the community picks on gut feeling, no thinking, Cyberpunk 2077 sits ahead of just a quarter of games. That is low. Really low. There is the real tension of the game: it fascinates the moment you analyze it, but something jams in the immediate buy-in. The memory of a botched 2020 launch, probably, still stuck to its skin.

For an open world this ambitious, shining on visuals and sound is almost the bare minimum. Except the games that truly leave a mark finish better on gut feeling. Here, the form impresses more than it convinces.
